Alice Bigelow
Clinician
As a queer-identified therapist, Alice Bigelow, LCPC, CCATP is passionate about creating a safe, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and anyone exploring identity, belonging, and self-acceptance. Her goal is to meet you exactly where you are, with warmth, curiosity, and respect, and to help you feel grounded in your own story. Whether you’re untangling relationship dynamics, healing from trauma, or learning to quiet your inner critic, therapy can be a place to reconnect with your values and sense of self.
Alice works with adults navigating OCD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, as well as those seeking to deepen self-understanding and emotional regulation. Her approach is collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed, blending evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, and CPT with empathy, flexibility, and a touch of humor when it fits. Together, Alice focuses on understanding the patterns that keep you stuck and she helps you build tools for meaningful, sustainable change.
Before joining SpringSource Psychological Center, she worked with individuals, families, and groups across inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. These experiences allowed her to meet clients at many stages of healing, balancing structure, compassion, and real-life practicality.
At SpringSource, her goal is to create a space that feels grounding, hopeful, and real, where therapy is not just about managing symptoms, but about fostering authentic connection and long-term emotional health. Alice currently has availability for new clients, offering sessions in person at our downtown Chicago office and virtually across Illinois.
