Clinician
Jaimee McMullen, LCPC, ATR-BC, believes that creativity is a powerful way to understand ourselves. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Art Therapist with more than 20 years of experience, she uses art and expression to help children, teens, and families navigate challenges related to ADHD, neurodivergence, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder).
Jaimee’s work is especially supportive of neurodivergent kids, adolescents, and adults who may struggle to express emotions verbally. Together, she helps her clients use imagery, color, and conversation to make sense of big feelings and find calm in moments of overwhelm. Her sessions are collaborative, flexible, and grounded in warmth and acceptance, always centered on helping each client feel safe, understood, and capable of growth.
Jaimee views counseling as a way to discover growth through challenges and deeply values the healing potential of the therapeutic relationship. By blending art therapy with traditional approaches, she helps clients engage more deeply in the process and connect with their innate capacity for resilience.
Jaimee’s therapeutic approach integrates DBT, CBT, somatic therapy, breathwork, and psychoeducation, creating a personalized framework for each client’s needs. She’s worked across school settings, inpatient and partial hospitalization programs, and youth centers serving children and adolescents with ASD Level 1, behavioral issues, emotional regulation difficulties, and trauma histories.
Jaimee believes everyone has unique strengths and limitations, and her goal is to create a compassionate, creative space where growth feels possible and authentic.
