Headshot for Kat Falson

Kat Falson

Clinician

Kat Falson, LSW, is a licensed social worker whose work is rooted in a deep belief that healing begins with feeling genuinely seen. They specialize in supporting individuals navigating eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, and the unique experiences of LGBTQIA+ communities, bringing to each therapeutic relationship a quality of warmth, curiosity, and compassionate presence that makes the hard work of therapy feel possible.

Kat's clinical approach draws on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open DBT (RO DBT), and Mindful Self-Compassion practices. They are also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and DBT–Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE), evidence-based approaches that allow them to meet clients where they are and offer a range of pathways toward healing. Kat practices from an anti-diet, fat-liberation framework, understanding that a compassionate relationship with one's own body is not a luxury. It is foundational to a life that feels authentic and whole.

Kat earned their Master's degree from Jane Addams College of Social Work and has worked across the full continuum of care, including residential treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). That breadth of experience means that Kat understands where clients have often been before they arrive, and what it takes to support them in moving forward.

In Kat's therapeutic space, there is no pressure to have it all figured out. The work is about approaching yourself with the same curiosity and compassion you deserve, deepening your understanding of your own experiences and gently moving toward a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are.
